Acnecide Face Wash Spot Treatment is an effective wash off treatment for mild acne of the face.
Contains:
- The active ingredient Benzoyl Peroxide which effectively kills up to 95% of bacteria causing spots.
- In addition, it contains microsphere technology which helps absorb excess oil while releasing glycerine to hydrate the skin.

Like all medicines, Acnecide Face Wash Spot Treatment can cause side effects, however, this may be less likely.
Do not use it, if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, our Rightdose pharmacists or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet.

Before using any medication, it is important to read the Patient Information Leaflet and follow the instructions on the package.
Apply wash once or twice a day to all affected areas of the face. Start by using this product on alternate days to minimise this risk and then gradually increase the frequency up to twice a day use if tolerated.
Directions:
- Wet skin and gently rub a small amount of the wash on to the affected areas to form a lather.
- Leave on the skin for 1-2 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly and pat skin dry.
Avoiding contact with sensitive areas such as the eyes, mouth, nose lining and neck.
- Do not use with other acne treatments and Benzoyl Peroxide products unless advised by your doctor.
- If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, planning to have a baby, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
- If your acne gets worse while using Acnecide Face Wash or if it does not improve within 12 weeks, it is important that you see your pharmacist or doctor for advice. Undertreatment of some forms of acne may sometimes result in scarring. Your pharmacist or doctor will be able to recommend an alternative treatment for your acne.
- If your skin becomes severely irritated, or severe redness, itching or peeling of the skin occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult your pharmacist or doctor.
- Try to avoid exposure to strong sunlight whilst using Acnecide Face Wash. If exposure is unavoidable, use a suitable sunscreen and apply the treatment in the evening.
- This product may bleach hair and coloured fabrics including clothing, towels and bed linen. Be careful to avoid contact of the Face Wash with these materials. Please make sure that you wash your hands thoroughly after you have used it.
Ingredients:
Hydrous benzoyl peroxide equivalent to benzoyl peroxide 5% w/w.
Other ingredients:
Acrylates copolymer, Glycerol, Carbomer 940, Sodium C14 – C16 Olefin Sulfonate, Sodium Hydroxide (For pH adjustment), Purified Water.
